D513
Dinky 513 Guy Flat Truck with Tailboard. Exceptionally scarce colour issue in DEEP BLUE & grey. Near mint/boxed. From a collector in The Antipodes.
Notes
We do not recall another in this colour finish that has come to the market place in more than a decade.
An exceptionally scarce Guy Fat Truck in all original condition finished in deepest blue and grey and silver trim. 1st type cab, ridged wheels, small unpainted hook. Smooth tyres including the spare are well-shaped. Shiny axles including the ends are held by clips during this period. Note the poor paint adherence to the baseplate.
Issued 1947-48.
There are a few marks as one might expect at some exposed areas including a few very small marks on the roof.
The correct buff box with colourful and unfaded paper label is a pleasing example. No tears or splits to this box. Note the original colour spot label at one lid end. Pencilled price nearby. Staples are a little rusty now, unsurprisingly. Blue coloured Dinky stamp ‘M18’ within a circle on the base.
Originally, this model was sold by QDT in 2007 when we were handling an extensive private Dinky collection.
