C246
Corgi 246 Chrysler Imperial. Rare 'Kingfisher blue' colour finish. Near mint plus/boxed. From The New European Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1965-68, in various colour finishes, this attractive American car has the rarest colour finish i.e. kingfisher blue – displaying well with this most distinctive of colour finishes.
This particular colour finish seems to have been especially difficult for Corgi – and is nearly always flaky. This example has the occasional small mark to the paint finish. With a fine sheen, and a light blue interior. Both seated figures (although we have not been able to insert the driver figure into his driver’s seat due to the orientation of the steering wheel).
Grey base, cast spoked wheels and fine original treaded tyres.
The little set of golf clubs are inside the boot.
The pictorial box with green Chrysler pictured is really crisp and fresh, showing minimal handling wear. Period price at an end flap.
