Monty says: " This model was the property of Marcel Van Cleemput and was originally sold through Sotheby’s Auction House in 1999. I purchased it at a later date."
A shame that this exciting and colourful version never went into production!
Corgi 325 Ford Mustang Competition was issued between 1965-68, in white with two red stripes, along with a sheet of racing numbers. This pre-production model is finished in deep ‘Corgi’ blue, white and red with racing number 6 on the bonnet and one door. U.K. crossed flags are on the bonnet, BP Shell transfers on one door, ‘DUNLOP’ transfer on the boot. Spoked wheels, fine original tyres, jewelled headlights. Suspension. Screwed base. Pale blue interior. Opening doors.
Originally sold as part of the property of Marcel Van Cleemput in 1999, lot number 277.
