Notes
The Monty Calme landmark Corgi Collection, covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
Monty says:
“This GT70 is a real gem. A wooden prototype from the production office. So many prototypes and samples were simply binned at the time, So lucky to get my hands on this one. My thanks go again to the Austrian collector who sold his collection through QDT.”
A delightfully detailed wooden prototype for the Ford GT70. A pleasing blue shade with racing numbers and labels applied. Free-running whizzwheels. Louvred rear detail in black. Black window detail. 1:43 scale.
A quite different version went into production (Corgi 316 in green).
