Corgi Gift Set 13 Renault R16 Tour De France Paramount Film Unit. Near mint plus/boxed, with leaflet. First issue with detailed pictorial backdrop. From 'The New European' Collection.
Notes
This scarce and early issue original Gift Set comprises:
Black and white Renault in all original condition with complete"Paramount PIctures’ labels on the roof. Bonnet label has the tiniest edge nick. tIny nick in the ’TOUR DE FRANCE" transfer on one side, a couple more on the other. Spare wheel under the bonnet. Driver, camera man and camera.
Later issues would have a plain orange sleeve insert, but this slightly earlier issue has the attractive tree-lined backdrop with the little clear blister attached, containing the race leader on his bicycle in his yellow jersey. Very nice indeed!
Polystyrene plinth is clean, fresh and bright.
The header card window box is complete and vividly -coloured. Couple of tiny punctures to the original cellophane. Usual little crease on the card reverse where it joins the main body of the box.
Minor age wear including slight grubbiness. Period price is pencilled on the box face.
Leaflet is included.
