C422
Corgi 422 Bedford 12cwt Van "Corgi Toys". Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce issue in vibrant mid-blue with yellow roof. From 'The Monty Calme' Corgi Collection.
Notes
Surely one of the most attractive of the early Corgi commercials, this ‘Corgi Toys’ Bedford Van has a really eye-catching vibrant mid-blue finish with a bright yellow roof! Complete Corgi transfers with the unmistakable dog logo on both sides. Flat spun wheels and a bright baseplate (tiny tarnished area). Original fine tread tyres are supple and well-shaped.
Issued between 1960-62, in various blue and yellow combinations, this is one of the most difficult to find (and our personal favourite).
This Bedford Van is in all original condition. Little rub on the roof, and a couple of minor marks besides.
The picture box is brightly-coloured, complete and ever-so crisp! Note the two black ink strokes (or similar) on one side and faint stamped print ( with Palma Ceia legible) at an end flap. Minor handling and age wear. Corgi Club Membership Form is included (rather grubby with a tear).
