Notes

A scarce set issued between 1967-69 comprising:
1) Corgi 490 VW Breakdown Truck, shaped spun wheels with suspension. With strung tow hook, red VW emblem, complete and intact “RACING CLUB” paper labels on both sides (little crease to one). Both spare wheels are present, as well as an intact opening red plastic tool box, complete with all the chrome tools!

Few minor marks only to the paint finish.

2) Corgi 156 Cooper-Maserati on a red trailer with gold detailed cast wheels. Model is in unused condition attached with an elastic band to the red trailer. Detailed racer with driver, steering wheel and windscreen. Few little dots head-on. The trailer is very, very close to mint. Plastic tow hook and detailed cast wheels.
The contents are housed in a distinctive card picture box with a flip-up colourful backdrop for display. This type of box is prone to damage and in this instance, has a few tears (one of which is repaired) . Clean and vividly-coloured.

Couple of creases to the top surface as well as a very small corner tear. Little (partial) storage puncture n the top surface. A little age/handling wear besides. Both winged card pieces are intact which may be used to prop open the box on display.
All in all, this is a scarce and appealing two-piece Gift Set.
