C336
Corgi 336 James Bond Toyota 2000GT. Very near mint/boxed. With still-sealed Secret Instruction Packet, card ring and wrap-around card packing. From 'The Monty Calme' Corgi Collection.
Notes
Inspired by the James Bond film “You Only Live Twice”, this Toyota model was made during 1967-69. Displays very well with both figures present, intact aerial, jewelled front and rear lights, complete registration numbers at front and rear, and wire wheels. Suspension is fine, although ithe rear wheels do not have quite the spring of the front wheels and this is due to the mechanism which fires the missiles, of course.
One of the finely-spoked wheels has lost its sheen now, but this is a subtle difference. The boot closes well ( nearly always found gaping).
The clean Secret Instructions Packet is still-sealed so assumed compete with all of its components.
The colourfully illustrated card plinth has wonderfully vivid graphics/art work. Day-one crisp feel and no wheel slot tears. and clean. All four push-out tabs at the wheel slots still present. Exceptional.
The outer box looks close to shop-fresh (tiny corner crumple and very, very minor shelf grubbiness on one non-picture side, little handling wear at an end flap edge). Nice to see that this example comes with both original packing pieces too.
