Notes
A landmark Corgi Collection covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
Just 10 14 Carat gold-plated Lotus Esprit models were made. The first model was presented to Princess Anne at the premiere of the James Bond film ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’. Others were presented to Cubby Broccoli (director of the film), and other personalities at the Playboy Club after the premiere. One example was presented to Roger Moore which he signed – and this is it!
The gold-plated Lotus Esprit model is mounted on a blue and black plinth which has a secret drawer containing the missiles. Instruction card present which details the working features of this model.
Model is in unused, very close to mint condition, with barely any rubbing or wear to the finish. An outstanding iconic piece!
It is mounted on a mint plinth in a complete and bright gold box.
A little storage/age wear including a small light surface tear.
A truly iconic Corgi James Bond item and a must for the serious Corgi and James Bond collector. Outstanding investment opportunity.
