C266

Notes
A landmark Corgi Collection covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
This is the ‘most fantasmagorical’ Corgi toy, in all original condition. A very difficult version to find – and the first we have offered for sale in years! Note that this issue has a gold band immediately below the windscreen (more commonly found with a chrome band).
The car is assumed mint. All four original figures seated inside.
The smaller sized box is bright and clean with an intact, colourful header card and Albert R. Broccoli printed in the top left hand corner. Minor age wear including the usual crease on the reverse where the header card meets the main body of the box. A little (assumed period shop keeper’s note) on the box base underside. Complete with the white plastic inner and blue card cloud scene (often missing).
Intact original cellophane has a few light surface marks and has been re-glued into place at some time (often the glue can dry out over time).
A firm Corgi favourite – one of the most decorative and much-loved Corgi models.
