A landmark Corgi Collection covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
A sought-after and scarce Gift Set issued between 1966-68 and only available by Mail Order at the time.
This exciting and colourful set comprises:
1) Corgi 1138 Ford Car Transporter in red, blue & silver.
Near mint plus with the occasional little mark. Straight horns on the roof. Both wing mirrors are intact and complete with the little mirror pieces too. 4 plastic chocks.
2) Corgi 226 Morris Mini Minor in pale lilac blue with a red interior. Very near mint.
3) Corgi 249 Morris Mini Cooper in red & black with ‘wickerwork’ side detail. Very near mint.
3) Corgi 251 Hillman Imp in vivid blue. Very near mint (suspension is a little ’soft on one wheel). Suitcase is included.
4) Corgi 252 Rover 2000 in light metallic blue. Very, very near mint. Suspension.
5) Corgi 321 Austin Mini-Cooper in red with roof signatures of Timo Makinen and Paul Easter. Near mint plus. All four jewelled lights. Complete transfers. Suspension on bright spun wheels.
6) Corgi 440 Ford Cortina Estate in metallic blue. Very near mint.
All contents are housed in a polystyrene tray which is bright and complete. No Corgi dog logo.
The eye-catching card lid has vivid graphics on intact, sturdy card. No tears or graffiti. Minor age wear only.
