C1126
Corgi 1126 Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter. Near mint plus/boxed. Later version with RAISED BLUE LETTERING. With card packing. More difficult find in the END FLAP BOX.
Notes
A landmark Corgi Collection covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
This is the third issue finished in vivid metallic blue with raised light blue “ECURIE ECOSSE” lettering & raised body line details on both sides. Shaped spun wheels. Yellow interior. Grey base. Charming display piece, especially with a selection of Corgi racing cars from the same era – this transporter would hold three.
Difficult to find mint, since they were popular at the time – a firm favourite for ‘transporting’ Corgi cars around!
Occasional little mark to the paint finish (i.e. one little chip above the windscreen, and mostly where metal meets metal, so hard to avoid). Original tyres run well.
Presented in the scarce pictorial, end flap box. Minor age grubbiness & light wear including a little scuffing at an edge. Complete with all end flaps. Small tear emanating from an end flap. Period price. Notably, this model comes complete with its internal packing sleeve.
