Notes
A landmark Corgi Collection covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
Issued between 1962-63, this scarce, exciting Racing Car set comprises:
1) 150S Vanwall Racing Car in red with driver and intact windscreen. Suspension. Racing number 25. Couple of tiny nicks to the transfer and a couple of little marks toward the rear. Beautiful lustre. Shiny spun wheels and fine original tyres.
2) 151A Lotus XI Le Mans, in blue with driver and intact windscreen. Couple of negligible marks (may be possible to carefully clean off in fact).
3) 152S BRM Racing Car in turquoise with intact driver and intact windscreen. Suspension. Couple of minor marks only.
Intact polystyrene tray with lid.
End flap pictorial box is complete, although worn now.
Correct that this Corgi Gift Set 5 box has a plain white, printed Corgi 5S label at an end flap.
