A landmark Corgi Collection covering the width and breadth of Corgi models amassed over decades by an exuberant collector. The Monty Calme collection is a truly astonishing gathering of the best of Corgi models and ephemera, including rare and unique pieces and point of sale items. The largest collection we have ever seen.
Issued between 1958-68, this fine Gift Set was a late issue, having a light brown and cream finish and a plastic tilt on the Land-Rover. Shaped spun wheels with suspension. Bright red detailed interior. The Land-Rover is in very close to mint condition. Couple of little marks only.
The Horse Trailer in matching finish has a couple of negligible dots and minor bubbling on one side of the roof.
Lovely original lustre on both pieces.
Nice to see this set still has the original brown plastic pony.
The card plinth on which the models sit, is complete and bright with just a little minor wear at wheel slots.
The outer card pictorial end flap box is a very fine and well-cared for example with day-one bright colours on fresh, tear-free card. Tiny wear only.
