What an exceptional set this is! This is a close-to-mint, all original and complete example; the first issue version with the rare green Bentley.
The set comprises:
1)John Steed’s Bentley in green and black finish, correct for this set with red metal wire wheels. Complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel.

In close to mint condition, with just one mark on the green wing edge and a small faint rub is visible, if you peer extra closely.

2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in sparkling white finish. Close to mint with a stray light factory flick of red paint (the colour used for the rear light detail – this would have been applied by hand at the factory)and a couple of negligible dots besides. Suspension on shaped spun wheels. Original figure of Emma Peel.
Three plastic umbrellas which are nearly always missing!
Inner card plinth is bright and complete and vividly-coloured. Lovely, crisp as-new look. No wheel slot tears – indeed, barely any wear at all! Little stain.

The colourful card outer box is complete and bright with all end flaps intact and no tears. Minor age wear only. No graffiti. Period price label at an end flap.

THis example comes complete with the original wrap-around card packing piece and a little unusual added extra – the original Corgi price label for this item, with Corgi Dog logo and ‘The Avenger’s Set ’ print. A rare additional period touch.

A fine and scarce set which is difficult to find authentic these days.
