Corgi Gift Set 3 "Thunderbird" Guided Missile on Assembly Trolley & R.A.F. Land Rover. Near mint-very near mint/boxed, with packing. From The Cheshire Collection.
Notes
A scarce set – it has been such a long time since we have offered one of these for sale. Issued between 1959-63, this set comprises:
i) 350 Thunderbird Missile in silver with a red plastic nose cone, on Trailer (RAF Blue finish with black plastic swivelling wheels, black plastic tow ring and metal clips to hold the missile in place). Very near mint.
ii) 351 Land Rover in RAF Blue finish with a tin tilt, flat spun wheels (shiny), tow hook, RAF roundel, as-new original tyres and spare on the bonnet. Pleasing lustre! Shiny base generally ( few tarnished spots). Few minor marks to the paint finish and note the addition of period Corgi accessories ( tax disc etc).
Slim outer box is complete, if a little grubby now. Note the printed instructions on all small end flaps. Comes complete with the original card packing sleeve!
