D505
Dinky 505 Foden Flat Truck with Chains. Maroon. Near mint/boxed. Scarce model in all original condition from a beautiful, single-owner collection, some 25 years in the making.
Notes
An U.S. export example that has clearly lain in its box for decades. Barely touched. A deep, lustrous, all original paint finish on this fine Dinky commercial truck made between 1952-54. This 2nd type model comes with straight chain posts and original chain, fine tread grey radial tyres (well-shaped but discoloured/stained in places)including the spare.
An honest, early example that presents well.
Few little marks mostly at wheel arches as is nearly always the case. Minor tarnishing near the bolt fixing.
The blue card picture box is complete and quite bright (touch paler) with an intact paper label. Little period pencilled pricing at one lid end and a fleck of surface loss nearby. Red ‘Hudson Dobson’ export label is rather nibbled now. Minor shelf rubs on the box base underside. Very minor age wear besides.
