Issued between 1960 -64, this attractive Bedford model has a shining two tone yellow and orange paint finish. Bright baseplate and notably perfect ‘Dinky Toys’ and ‘Meccano’ lettering throughout. Complete with three removable plastic pallets.

So often found with retouches, this example is in totally original condition.

There are a few little pin head marks at the rear doors and one mark on the box van roof. Few very small marks on the radiator and front bumper. A little rough casting at a front edge of the box van and some factory assembly marking on the chassis side, notably at the winding handle fixing. Winding handle cuff is corroded now.
The mechanism works well when the handle is turned, moving the sliding interior platforms so that goods (in this case pallets) may be loaded and unloaded more easily. Authentic Instruction leaflet included, with full instructions on how to operate the ingenious mechanism of this van.

The striped SUPERTOYS outer box looks very clean and fresh with no splits. Colours are vibrant and that includes the deep blue base throughout.
Some rusting at the staples – but still a very nice box indeed, complete with card packing piece.
