D533
Dinky 533 Leyland Cement Wagon "Ferrocrete". Near mint/boxed. From 'The New European' Collection.
Notes
Issued for a short period between 1953-54 under this numbering, this example presents well with a vibrant paint finish. Perfect detailed circular transfers on the cab doors and the lettering at the sides is very nearly so. Notably, the lettering at the rear, including the black border, is complete and intact too.
Hard to find a mark, but minute scrutiny reveals four later well-matched dabs of paint. Tyres are the originals (one has a slight flat spot), the spare stowed has a split.
The striped Dinky Toys box is bright and complete with no splits or tears. Minimal shelf rubbing to the underside of the box base. A little age/handling wear. Rusty staples. Penned numbering at one lid end.
