C200
Corgi 200 Ford Consul Saloon. Near mint plus/boxed (in early blue picture box). Scarce two colour issue in palest grey over bright green. From The Cheshire Collection.
Notes
The first Corgi Toys model issued – this car was made between 1956-61; the very first, one colour examples would have been sold in the all blue card boxes.
This particular version is finished in very pale grey shade with a bright green lower half, flat spun wheels. All original. Some of the expected rubbing at side body lines (caused by box contact). No chipping at front and rear bumpers, so this Consul presents extremely well with a beautiful original lustre. Barely handled.
Shiny base and as-new original tyres (although nor te that one has a small piece missing, but as-made).
Little smudge of (factory) green paint on one side.
The early blue picture box looks like old shop stock with day one bright colours on such crisp, clean card. Nevertheless, there is an end flap tear. Early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form is included.
