D905
Dinky 905 Foden Flat Truck with Chains. Red & Grey. Early issue from 1957. Near mint/boxed. From The Cheshire Collection.
Notes
Made between 1957-64, this model is an early example with a bolt spare wheel fixing. As is not often the case these days, this model is thankfully in all original condition with no retouches or indeed replaced parts.
A most attractive truck which presents well, with a pleasing red and grey finish, rounded chain post bosses and metal hubs.
A few very minor marks only at some wheel arches (nearly always the case). Tiny dot or two on the roof, tiny rub or two at a chai post top.
Rounded chain post bosses. Shiny silver trim. Bright metal parts generally.
The striped Supertoys box is clean, with strong colours and no graffiti. No seam splits either. Note the small area of surface loss on the lid. Rusty staples and some rust staining to the box base interior.
Precisely dated from July 1957 (by the Dinky stamp inside the box lid).
A very attractive example which is hard to resist!
