Issued for a comparatively short time ((1953-54) under 27K numbering, this model marks the transition from 27K to 324 (dual-numbered box). It would be issued for ten years under the new numbering 324.
This early example is in bright and clean condition with barely a mark to the red and yellow original paint finish.
Wire tines are all intact (dulling to some). Model is marked 27K on the underside.
The sturdy lift-off lid plain box is complete and generally clean and bright. Barely any rusting at the staples. Some surface loss to the U.S. export Hudson Dobson label.
