Notes
We are especially delighted to offer one of the most popular Corgi models ever, issued between 1965-69.
The James Bond Aston Martin is in all original condition with none of the reproduction accessories, rife with this issue.
The car is fully functioning, complete with both figures. It has a lustrous gold finish, happily free from the usual chip in the centre of the roof.
Roof closes well, too. Suspension is fine on all four wheels. Original tyres are well-shaped and run easily.
The most eagle-eyed will note a tiny mark on the roof and a couple of tiny marks besides. The wheels have dulled rather now, too.
The plinth on which the model sits has vivid colours on clean, fresh card. Little wear and tear at two wheel slots. Note that this early issue does not have the Secret Instruction’ arrow on the base.
The Instruction Packet has been opened and has the full complement of accessories i.e. the all important Secret Instructions which detail the retractable machine guns, opening roof and ejector seat, rear bullet screen and telescopic over-riders.
All have been tested and work perfectly, by the way! The packet also contains the unapplied 007 badge, and the spare villain.
This example also comes wiht the additional ‘Corgi Toys Model Car Makers to James Bond’ Booklet.
The 1st issue outer box has been carefully handled and stored. Note that since it is 1st issue, there is no shading detail around the lettering ASTON MARTIN DB5 on the box face and no thick black border around the JAMES BOND’S lettering, too.
SMinor rub at one end and tiny wear besides. But crucially, no tears, punctures or graffiti.
A piece of Corgi history, a sound investment, and a nostalgic treat which is hard to resist!
