C228
Corgi 228 Volvo P.1800. Beige, red interior. Scarce. Very near mint/boxed (minor wear). From a most knowledgeable and enthusiastic collector in South London.
Notes
Issued between 1962-65 in a variety of colour finishes. After 1965, this car became the Saints Volvo (renumbered Corgi 258).
This example has a fresh gleaming deep beige finish with silver detailing at raised bodylines, bumpers, radiator (all original).
Displays beautifully with shining shaped spun wheels and jewelled headlights. Fine, well-shaped original tyres.
Little marks/rubs at bumpers, otherwise hard to fault.
The picture box is complete and clean, if a little rubbed at some edges. Crease. No tears or graffiti.
Not an easy colour variation to find.
