D101
Dinky 101 Thunderbirds 2 & 4. 1st issue Gerry Anderson model. Near mint plus/boxed. With intact yellow legs, complete with CARD PACKING PIECE & INSTRUCTION LEAFLET. From The Heart of England Collection.
Notes
Desirable first issue from 1967-73 in gloss green. All complete with the four plastic yellow legs, notably intact and functioning, and a small Thunderbird 4 inside the pod. All labels are complete, (although there is a little creasing to one). Obviously unplayed with or indeed handled very much. A little of the expected loss of paint at pod sides – only evident when the pod is pushed out and inevitable as metal scrapes metal. Minor mark or two to the original green finish at the nose and a dot at a wing tip. Shiny unmarked chrome on the rear thrusters.
Very nice!
The attractive inner card stand has lots of great artwork and looks extremely fresh with excellent strong colours and both pull out tabs intact. Clean and crisp with barely any wear at all.
Operation Instructions are printed on the reverse.
Note that this examples comes with the additional Instruction Leaflet in French.
The slim outer box is clean fresh and bright, presently nicely. One little end flap tear but crucially no punctures or heavy wear. No discolouration to the white background of the pictorial scene either.
Period price is lightly pencilled on one box face.
Notably, the card packing piece is still present (couple of small tears).
A great Gerry Anderson model to add to your collection – this early issue is a strong favourite with many collectors.
