FD589A
French Dinky 589A Berliet Breakdown Lorry 'Depannage Autoroutes'. Near mint plus/boxed. Complete with packing ring, still-sealed bag containing road sign and aerial. Rare to find with INFORMATIVE SLIP, too. From The French Dinky section of The Reference Collection.
Notes
Vivid original orange finish on this close to perfect Breakdown Truck. Second issue (1970-71). Complete with all delicate parts (including the little red roof light) intact. Functioning winch mechanism (accompanied by the usually-absent little Instruction Slip!).
Few mere dots to the paint finish (and visible only to the gimlet-eyed) and a little factory assembly mark at the operating wheel. Perfect ‘Depannage Autoroutes’ at the sides. Scratch-free window glazing. Nice silver ‘Berliet’ detail head-on, as well as headlights (all original). No bumper chips either!
The unopened clear plastic bag contains the road sign, the number plates and the little black plastic aerial which would fit on the roof.
The illustrated card box is bright clean and complete. Crisp rarely handled card and no tears at end flaps. Very minor age wear only (little end flap corner ruffle/tiny start of a tear). Little card packing ring. Promotional leaflet, too.
A delight all-round!
