C1146
Corgi 1146 Scammell Car Transporter. Very near mint/boxed (early style). Removed from its box for the first time to take these pictures. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued between 1970-3, this early box version is in very fine condiiton with a wonderfully fresh, original orange, white and blue paint finish, jewelled headlights, detailed cast wheels. Complete with all detachable black plastic chocks.
A couple of minor (probably as-made) marks, and very minor marking where the tractor unit detaches from the transporter.
Polystyrene inner isin pristine condition.
Blue and yellow outer card box with notably intact original cellophane window. Crisp, with vivid colours and full colour illustration on box reverse.
Little storage crumple. Period price label.
Very, very nice!
