From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.

This model is an exceptional display piece with a vivid red paint finish throughout and diecast hubs (later issues had plastic hubs). Tinplate tank has transfers on both sides and at rear.

No dents or crazing to the tanker and the lettering is complete on one side, couple of very small nicks to the lettering on the other side. White stripe has a couple of nicks on one side, virtually perfect on the other. The rear transfer is a beauty!

Bright baseplate too. Bright metal parts generally including the axle ends. Original black radial tyres are well-shaped. Nice example!

Mere dot at a wheel arch or two and a little scuff to the tow hook.
So often these high profile Dinky commercials are found with touch-ins. This example has obviously gone straight from the Dinky shop to a private collection and remained there until now, carefully and rarely handled. Absolutely free of any retouching whatever.
The striped pictorial box is an outstanding example with such vibrant colours on clean, day-one fresh undamaged card. Period penned prices at a short lid end.
