Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued between 1965-68, in various colour finishes, this attractive American car has the rarest colour finish i.e. kingfisher blue and as if that weren’t rare enough , it has a light tan interior too. The first we have ever seen with this interior finish.
An eye-catching model in this distinctive shade. This particular colour finish seems to have been especially difficult for Corgi – and is nearly always flaky. This example has just a few marks, mostly one one side. Opening bonnet reveals a detailed engine. Opening boot still has the little set of golf clubs inside!
It comes complete with both seated figures.
The pictorial box is in shop-fresh condition, with a pleasing silky finish (showing minimal handling).
Period price label still in place. No tears or graffiti.
An exceptional item, rare to come to the market place.
