D105
Dinky 105 Triumph TR2 Sports. Touring finish. Lemon. Scarce version with spun wheels. *Very near mint/in RARE LIGHTER YELLOW CORRECT BOX WITH ONLY LEMON VARIANT PICTURED*. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued between 1957-60, this eye-catching classic Dinky car has an all original light lemon finish, with a bright green interior – scarce with spun wheels (shiny). Bright baseplate, intact original windscreen. Original driver, steering wheel.
Just a tiny mark on the driver’s head (as usual) and a tiny dot or two besides. Little (factory) over-run of the green seating paint on one edge (minor). ‘M’ stamped original treaded tyres are fine.
The rare paler lemon picture box is bright and complete with a crisp feel. Note that only this colour version is pictured on both sides of the box. Correct colour spot. Ink smudge and a penned mark on one end flap. Period price at another. Little crease and a tiny slit/puncture on the box underside.
A difficult find.
