This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection ? always a discerning buyer of the finest examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.

This rare version is in all original, close to mint condition with a gleaming bright paint finish throughout – such an eye-catching combination! Rich cream cab and chassis and a distinctive mid-blue back with complete ‘DINKY SERVICE’ lettering in black (tiny scratch on one letter). Red ridged wheels and smooth black tyres, shiny winding handle including the cuff. Complete with a working tow hook.
Looks unused. Note that there is none of the usual paint loss to the tinplate jib.
Presents very well indeed.

Very bright, fresh base too. Shiny axle ends. Well-shaped, original tyres.

Little flake of paint at a cab side window rim (minor rough casting at this site), and a little factory assembly mark at one side of the jib. Few mere dots to the paint finish besides.
The striped Dinky Toys picture box is bright and clean with no splits, repairs or punctures. A little age wear only. Complete and bright U.S. export label at a lid side. Period price is faintly visible at a lid end. Dinky date stamp (1953) on the inside of the lid.
