3 x Dinky 35C MG Midget Sports in Trade Box with original dividers. Red version. Excellent plus/in box with U.S. export label. Very scarce export issue from 1952, only issued in the U.S. at this date. From a beautiful, single-owner collection, some 25 years in the making.
Notes
This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection ? always a discerning buyer of the finest examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.
A deilghtful trio of charming, bright red, simply-moulded M.G. Midget models in all original condition with silver trim. Not a trace of sunfading, these MG models have remained in the trade box for the past 60 years, untouched for long periods of time. So, some of the original black rubber tyres have flat spots now. Few little marks to the paint finish.
The deep yellow sleeve-style Trade Box has the Dinky date stamp 1952 on the sleeve. These models were issued in the U.K. up until 1948 and then only available for U.S. export between 1949-52. So this is one of the last issues. Clean and bright trade box with Hudson Dobson (U.S. export label) on one side (small nick) comes with the original dividers.
and even a couple of pieces of the original wrapping tissue, we believe.
Shiny staples and minor age/handling wear only.
