D283
Dinky 283 B.O.A.C. Coach. Near mint/boxed. From the Renos Louka Collection.
Notes
A collection some 20 years in the making. Renos Louka from Virginia Water, Surrey specialised in Film & TV models. His interest was due to his occupation of supplying camera and lighting equipment to the film, TV and broadcast industry.
First issued during 1956, this coach has a deepest blue paint finish with a white roof. The lettering at the sides is complete on one side, just a couple of tiny nicks on the other (nearly always found quite rubbed!). Complete BOAC lettering in yellow along with the distinctive gold Speedbird emblem on both sides.
A little ‘spidering’ on the base. Well-shaped tyres run well.Couple of spots of very faint yellowing on the roof (very minor indeed and may clean completely off). One or two tiny marks besides.
The brightly-coloured picture box is complete with no tears or graffiti. Very minor wear only.
