D118
Dinky Gift Set 118 Tow Away Glider Set. Excellent plus-very near mint with luggage/boxed (end flap style box with packing piece). Scarce. From The Renos Louka Collection.
Notes
An unusual Gift Set made between 1965-69 in original condition, comprising:
Dinky 135 Triumph 2000 in cream and blue finish. Only issued in these colours for this Gift Set (normally this Dinky car is in metallic green). Excellent plus condition with suspension on bright spun hubs, opening bonnet (detailed engine) and boot. Luggage.
Few exposed edge/raised point marks.
Cream “Southdown Gliding Club” Trailer-Transporter with shiny spun wheels and an intact towing attachment. Fresh paper labels. Clear plastic lid lifts off and inside are the components for the glider, set in the built-in racks. This red fuselage and yellow winged version is a more difficult find (usually reverse colours are found). All components are fine and intact.
The distinctive pictorial card plinth is in virtually pristine condition (coupe of tiny wheel slot tears). Extremely nice!
Slim colourful and fresh outer box has just a little tear to the tuck-in part of one large end flap. Tiny wear besides. Comes with the little white card packing piece too.
Hard to find this good!
