Notes
An unusual Gift Set made between 1965-69 in original condition, comprising:
Dinky 135 Triumph 2000 in cream and blue finish. Only issued in these colours for this Gift Set (normally this Dinky car is in metallic green). Very near mint condition with suspension on bright spun hubs, opening bonnet (detailed engine) and boot.No luggage.
Cream and red “Southdown Gliding Club” Trailer-Transporter with matching wheels and an intact towing attachment. No jockey wheel. Clear plastic lid lifts off and inside are the components for the glider, set in the built-in racks. Two red wings are supposed to plug in to the yellow body of the glider. However, one wing has a little edge snapped off inside the slot of the glider body. The other wing is absolutely fine as is the tail fin.
The distinctive pictorial open style box would originally have had an over-wrapping of cellophane (no longer present). The pictorial scene has bright colours and on the reverse there are instructions for flying the glider as well as details on the Triumph and the Transporter.

Expected wear and tear at the delicate card insert in which both models sit (minor, with no parts missing).
An interesting and unusual set from Dinky which would benefit from a little repair to the glider.
