C448
Corgi 448 B.M.C. Mini Police Van With Tracker Dog. Near mint plus, with both figures & lead/boxed, with packing. From a high quality collection in the U.S.
Notes
Issued between 1964-69. This BMC Mini Van has a deepest navy blue finish, jewelled headlights and suspension on bright shaped spun wheels. Vivid red interior. Complete, clean and bright ‘POLICE’ labels on both sides. In very fine, all original condition throughout. As-new original tyres. Grey base.
Outstanding lustre!
Close scrutiny reveals a couple of marks immediately above a headlight (possibly factory assembly) and a couple of very small marks at the rear opening doors. Occasional near-microscopic mark besides at some exposed edges (i.e. wheel arches).
The detailed and colourful inner card stand is bright, crisp and clean. Looking very fresh with both pull-out tabs at the sides. Very minor storage ‘bend’ to the upstand of the card plinth. None of the usual tears at wheel slots. In fact all four push-out tabs are still in place.
This example comes complete with the little wrap-around card packing piece which fits over the figures, too.
The outer box looks virtually shop-fresh with a wonderfully silky feel tot he barely handled card. No tears or graffiti. Extremely fine! Corgi Club Membership Form is included too.
