This Hillman Hunter ‘London To Sydney’ Marathon Winner has a very close to mint paint finish (one mark at a wheel arch) and a wealth of detail.

Complete, with intact labels (a little age transparency now), and the original kangaroo figure.
Opening suitcase on the roof of the car, two spare wheels and a spotlight.

This example comes complete with both leaflets (i.e. the Transfer Instruction Leaflet which also incorporates a Corgi Club Membership Form, & Instructions for opening the case on the roof). Full sheet of unapplied transfers too.

Inner box is very crisp and fresh and has the original kangaroo in place! Hard to find any wear apart from a little ruffling/rubbing where the car has rested on the ‘London To Sydney’ sign.

2nd issue outer box is notably complete with intact smooth original cellophane. Superb colour vibrancy on crisp, tear-free card. Minor edge ruffling at an end flap. Note that this is the 2nd issue box, so unlike the earlier issue, it does not have the Corgi number printed on the box face. Note too that the printed text in the red box on box top is slightly different and box underside is free of the black printed details. Box reverse has ‘Playcraft Toys’ printed rather than ‘Mettoy Playcraft’ printed. There may be other differences too! Note the period price label bearing both ‘old’ and ‘new’(decimal) price, so dating this example from 1971.
