MB1
Matchbox 1 Diesel Road Roller. Scarce version from 1962. Very near mint (paint miss)/boxed. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
This is the last regular-wheeled version finished in vibrant mid-green with red plastic wheels and two baseplate rivets. Lovely lustre on this model which has barely been out of its box:
Note the paint miss low down on one side, probably due to rough casting at this area.
Lovely vivid fresh box has a tiny corner crumple. Otherwise hard to fault.
