C405M
Corgi 405M Bedford Fire Tender. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce early mechanical item from a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960?s -1970?s.
Issued 1956-59, this early Corgi emergency van is in original condition, with a bright, lustrous red paint finish, flat spun wheels, complete ‘Fire Dept’ labels on both sides and the motorised function works perfectly.
Black base and fine, well-shaped treaded original tyres.
Under close scrutiny, you will spot a couple of dots at a wheel arch, a truly minuscule dot at a window edge and a very small light scratch at the front bumper. Presents well with completely unmarked transfers on both sides, a vibrant unfaded original paint finish and gleaming, unmarked original silver trim.
The correct early blue picture box is very crisp, complete with all end flaps intact. A little storage crumpling and a very minor puncture on one non-picture surface which has pressed back into place. Minor grubbiness in places and a small stain. No graffiti. Early Corgi Club Membership Form is included.
