This collector wanted only the best examples in his collection ? always a discerning buyer of the finest examples he could find. After over 25 years, he has now decided to part with items from his own extensive collection.
This is one of them.

Often one of the most prized items in a Dinky commercial collection, we are pleased to offer for sale the most sought-after Big Bedford advertising lorry! Issued between 1958-59 only.

A most eye-catching model in notably all original condition, this fine model has a vibrant red cab and chassis and a bright yellow back. More commonly found with the ‘Bean Can’ transfers, this scarce version has the all-important ‘Sauce Bottle’ transfers in close to perfect condition on both sides:

If scrutinised closely, one can see that one of the sauce bottle transfers in particular has tiny portions of lint cloth (or similar) attached (no doubt occurring when it was polished at some time).
Lettering is completely unmarked on both sides.
Marking to the paint finish occurs in the usual places at the back doors and there is a little mark on the cab roof. Little mark at a couple of corner edges of the box van. Note too the small area of thinner paint in one small place on the box van roof. Little marking to one wheel. Occasional negligible/small mark to the paint finish besides.
Rear doors are complete and intact, opening and closing smoothly.
Bright baseplate and the original grey tyres have no flat spots. Spare stowed too:
