FD571
French Dinky 571 Saviem Transporter with Sulky. Very near mint/boxed. With usually missing reins, number plates applied. No Instruction Leaflet. WITH PACKING PIECE. Scarce item from The Heart of England Collection.
Notes
A scarce and sought-after item from The French Dinky factory, issued between 1969-71, 1:43 scale.
A very fine set, comprising:
1) Saviem Goelette Horse Box finished in blue and white with plastic wood effect side panels. Opening door and two-part top section at the rear. Concave blue metal wheels. Well-shaped supple original tyres. Obviously rarely handled, this model has a mark on one side and a smaller mark at a wheel arch. Complete number plates front and rear.
2) Green two-wheeled plastic Sulky complete with horse and driver. Complete with all fragile parts intact. No racing number on the driver.
Most attractive pictorial plinth which serves as a superb backdrop with appropriate art work is in a virtually pristine state with no tears at wheel slots and crisp day one bright card. Minor grubbiness on the underside if you want to fault it.
No Instructions with this example.
The pictorial end flap box is generally crisp, clean and bright with no graffiti. Nearly always suffering age wear and tear, this example has fared well. Minor tear to the tuck-in part of one large end flap. Colours are vibrant and there is none of the mottling to the white background picture (common fault). Light grubbiness.
Comes with the little card packing piece!
