C228
Corgi 228 Volvo P.1800. Red. Very near mint/boxed. From a large, stunning diverse collection with many items in old shop stock condition.
Notes
_From one of the largest, private collections we have ever seen, with many items bought new at the time and stored away until now. Taken as a whole, the collection provides an exciting, kaleidoscopic snapshot of popular diecast toys issued during the 1960’s -1970’s.
Issued between 1962-65 in a variety of colour finishes.
This Volvo model has a wonderfully lustrous bright red paint finish with a lemon interior and silver detailing at the raised bodylines and bumpers (all original). Suspension on shiny shaped spun hubs. In superb condition:
Only the smallest mark or two away from mint – and note the stray flecks of factory silver low down driver’s side.
The box is in stunning old shop stock condition (intensely crisp!) with a period price label on one non-picture side.
