D252
Dinky 252 Refuse Wagon. Very near mint/boxed. First issue in early style box with white border around model. Latest instalment from The impeccable Collection in The Netherlands.
Notes
Renumbered from Dinky 25v, this is the early issue in fawn with green tinplate shutters and no window glazing, red wheels.
Very appealing lustre.
Shiny base and smooth original tyres look as-new.
The movement of the mechanism for tilting the back works well, although this has caused a little of the expected wear to the paint at this site.
There are just a couple of minor marks at the opening rear shutters and one mark at the back edge of the roof. .
The attractive early issue pictorial box with the white border around the model picture is strongly-coloured, crisp and clean. Very minor age wear and a little penned writing on the top surface.
