D100
Dinky 100 Lady Penelope's Fab 1. Near mint/boxed. Scarce late issue in a Bubble Pack with missiles/rockets still taped to the card base. Unused. From The Kent Collection.
Notes
A sought-after example of this attractive Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbird model!
This Fab 1 model has a gleaming paint finish and jewelled headlights. Both figures of Lady Penelope and Parker are seated inside. Very bright and fresh chrome and the correct canopy for this late issue i.e. no pink lines. The canopy glides well. Complete with both number plates, radiator emblem, six jewelled headlights, and correct silver painted baseplate. Detailed cast wheels.
Hard to find a mark but closest scrutiny reveals a few little touch-ins.
The plinth is crisp with excellent fresh colours. The original bag is still taped to the base and contains the correct 2 yellow missiles as well as four red harpoons. Blue ‘Warning’ label.
The clear plastic “bubble” lid is thankfully split-free. Tape which keeps the bubble lid in place still present.
It has been a long time since we have offered a Lady Penelope’s FAB 1 in this packaging.
