We could quickly run out of superlatives when describing this Mobilgas Tanker! This eye-catching Dinky commercial was made during 1953-56 and is a sought-after Dinky model. A vibrant deep red paint finish, 2nd type cab, black ladder and black filler caps. None of the usual corrosion to the tank. This is one of the best, and probably the best surviving example – an untouched glowing finish with beautifully crisp transfers throughout.
The striped dual-numbered picture box is in super condition too with clean vivid colours on sturdy intact card. Note the dual-numbering at the box end. Old shop stock quality box.
Complete with 2 light blue and buff card packing pieces which protect the box from the filler caps.
Items of the highest quality rarely come to the market place. This is an outstanding museum-grade piece. A once in a lifetime opportunity.
