The nicest example – both model and box; of this rare French Dinky item, issued between 1969-71. In matte olive drab military finish with grey plastic launcher, red and white ‘Nord Missile’. Painted concave hubs. Baseplate reads ‘Berliet Gazelle Meccano France’ – so not to be confused with the very similar British issue which was based on this model. Obviously hardly used, there are just a couple of small marks at the front bumper.
Typically the box for this model (when you can find one) gets very easily damaged due to the softness of the card and the weight of the truck. This box is the nicest we have seen – very bright and clean with only the most minor wear in the form of light creasing. The inner card tray on which the model sits is complete but due to the weight of the truck, it has some splits at the wheel slots.
