French Dinky 525 Peugeot 403 Estate Car. Near mint/never boxed. SPECIAL ORDER MODEL - EXCEPTIONALLY RARE ITEM. From the Continental Collection.
Notes
The first we have ever handled – and realistically, we do not ever expect to get another!
Made by the French Dinky factory in 1964 as a special order for a shop in Paris called Multisports on Boulevard de Sebastopol. A very small number indeed were made, possibly as few as 10! This is one of the models sold at the time of production at Boulevard Sebastopol to a very limited number of very keen Dinky collectors and customers of the shop.
Purchased by the current owner in France in 2000 and subsequently authenticated by Vincent Espinasse of France.
Finished in vibrant red with roof light and delicate original aerial. Glazing. Complete transfers on both sides. Bright concave wheels and as-new fine tread tyres. Shiny base.
Several little pin prick marks at exposed edges and four little retouches visible upon close scrutiny. Little raised flake of paint immediately at the site of the aerial. Aerial is intact.
One of the rarest models we have ever offered for sale. An exceptional investment piece – and you will be one of an extremely limited group of collectors who own one of these Special Order Peugeot models.
