D36G
Dinky 36G Taxi with Driver. Excellent/never individually boxed. Green and black issue. Early just post-war issue with smooth black wheels, open rear window. Scarce. From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
In fine, all original condition, this taxi model is a scarce find with smooth black wheels (later issues would be ridged) and an open rear window (later filled-in). Just post-war issue in lustrous green and black finish, cast in driver, ‘thick axles. TAXI’ sign on the roof, and four original smooth running white (grubby but original) tyres.
Expected sprinkling of marks, but a charming and scarce early Dinky in all original condition.
From 1946.
