D905
Dinky 505/905 Foden Flat Truck with Chains. Green issue from 1956. Very, very near mint/boxed (dual-numbered). Hudson Dobson export issue. An outstanding display piece from a collection of rare Dinky models in the U.K.
Notes
In complete and original outstanding condition, this Dinky Foden comes in a shining deep green finish with all chain posts intact and unbroken, original chain. Looks unused – a delight to behold – this old shop stock quality model has an impeccable lustre.
Bright base and as-new tyres.
Hard to fault this example – none of the usual marks at cab roof edges, or wheel arches, and the chain posts are straight. Perhaps the occasional minute dot if one peers closely enough.
The striped Dinky Toys box is complete, clean and bright. Minor wear only. More unusual dual-numbered box marks the transition from 505 in 1956. Precisely dated February 1956 from the Dinky stamp inside the box lid. An export model, this item still bears the Hudson Dobson export label ( bright, clean and fresh). Pencilled nunbering at one lid end.
One to treasure!
