D161
Dinky 161 Austin Somerset Saloon. Scarce red and yellow version. Very near mint/boxed. From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
Now here’s a rare and sought-after variation! This gleaming bright jewel of a car has a two-tone red and yellow finish. Issued between 1956-59. Wonderfully vivid lustre and a shining silver trim.
A desirable car in very close to mint condition. Just a few minor rubs/tiny marks.
Bright base and smooth-running original tyres.
The box is really clean, crisp. Correct two-colour spot at the end flaps. One of the small end flap has a repair. Minor scuff or two besides.
Notoriously difficult to get in good condition!
